About Paula

Prior to teaching Pilates, Paula worked for many years in health promotion and public health to help as many people as possible get active and live long and healthy lives. She began her Pilates journey as a form of ‘prehab’ when competing in mountain bike racing and loved the body awareness and whole body balanced strength that came with it. Experiencing first hand how useful Pilates was in regaining strength following her twin pregnancy, Paula became a Pilates instructor in 2019.

As a person who values adventure and activity, Paula takes great joy in seeing people return to the activities and sports they love. She has a particular passion for helping young Mums gain strength post-pregnancy and return to the exercise safely, stronger and pain free.

Paula is currently studying a Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of Canberra and looks forward to weaving this into her Pilates and rehabilitation practice. She is currently completing her Polestar Pilates Studio and Rehabilitation Training certification.

Paula has a passion for the outdoors, whether that’s adventure further afield or time in the garden. Her interests include spending time in nature with her young family and being a ‘jill-of-all-trades’ when it comes to outdoor sports, spanning mountain biking, trail running, hiking, cycle touring, backcountry skiing, and most recently, learning to rock climb.
