Exercise Rehabilitation at Clinic 88 is conducted by fully qualified and AAESS accredited Exercise Physiologists.
Our exercise physiologists use exercise as the modality to rehabilitation from injury, surgery, chronic illness or a poor physical condition. The aim is to improve your quality of life, making you fitter, stronger and healthier to enable you to be able to do the things in life you love. Our exercise physiologists have a specially designed exercise room at Clinic 88, or can meet you at your gym, home or workplace to design an exercise program specific to your needs.
As of January 2006, 5 sessions per year with an AAESS accredited Exercise Physiologist will be rebated by Medicare to the amount of $48.95 per session. To gain this rebate, clients must first be referred for this service by a General Practitioner. Please consult your GP if you wish to gain access to this rebate.
Department of Veterans Affairs gold and white card holders are entitled to treatment by an AAESS accredited Exercise Physiologist when referred by their GP. Clinic 88 offers both individual and group exercise programs which are both fully rebatable. Please consult your GP if you wish to gain access to this rebate.
Patients with Type 2 Diabetes are eligible for assessment and enrolment into group programs when assessed by an AAESS accredited Exercise Physiologist. Please consult your GP if you wish to gain access to this rebate.
Exercise rehabilitation may involve:
- Clinical exercise prescription for overcoming overuse and work place or motor vehicle injuries or pain
- Our therapist visiting your gym to educate you on how to utilise your exercise time wisely and safely. This also enables you to take control of your own rehab or exercise program
- Hydrotherapy for those who need none weight bearing exercises to rehabilitate from injury
